The Moment of Truth...

I have been meditating daily for about six weeks now, completed my dream board, set goals, wrote them down, and given weekly tithes. I have prayed and had others pray for me. I am attending a new church with more prayers and meditation.

One important aspect of goal setting is to believe that it is possible and act like what you have asked for is on it's way. So if your goal is to take a trip to Europe, you should go get your passport. I had a gift card from Target so I picked up some pregnancy tests, cocoa butter lotion and a belly band. I am getting pregnant soon, right? Then the cashier congratulated me. I actually kind of excited to be congratulated.

Tomorrow morning I am taking a pregnancy test. I am a little nervous because testing tomorrow will be an outward sign if all of my internal work is successful. I just hope I can continue to be optimistic if things don't go my way tomorrow.

A Herculean Task

After listening to the Four Agreements, I began to wonder how I was going to be impeccable with my word. I began listening to the Law of Attraction and Ask and it is Given. The basic premise of the Law of Attraction is that our thoughts are manifested in the real world. Negative thoughts produce negative results and vice versa. So again I am getting the message to be less negative. The Law of Attraction explained that you replace the negative thoughts with more positive ones. So if a guy cuts you off in traffic, you say an affirming statement so you won't fester anger at the driver and therefore hurt yourself. Although I haven't gone 21 days without gossiping, criticizing or complaining, I have noticed my negative statements and thoughts and made an effort to change them in the moment - a wonderful first step.

Recently, I decided my next audio book would be the Bible. I sent up my prayer that I find a Bible that was interesting to listen to because it would have to be interesting to hold my attention. While browsing the library's audio section, I found The Bible Experience. It is a powerful and moving reading of the Bible with movie caliber score and sound effects. Getting through the Bible is proving to be a challenging task and the library required that I check out all 60 Old Testament CDs at once. I have had it for just over a week and I am just about to get through with Deuteronomy. I am still plugging along, listening whenever I can. I am hoping to finish all 89 hours of the Bible - Old Testament and New by Easter. That would be an accomplishment.

Being Impeccable with Your Word

After I finished listening to The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity, I starting listening to The Four Agreements. The first agreement is to be impeccable with your word. This is a similar message shared in the Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity which suggests a 21-day challenge not to gossip, criticize or complain. I have been on Day 1 for four days and I will start on Day 1 again tomorrow. I am catching myself, but not before the words have come spilling out of my mouth. Also, being a teacher I find this even more challenging. I want to snap back with the sassy comment. I realize this is not the best idea, but in the moment I have trouble self-correcting. How do you correct a child in an impeccable manner? This question requires more pondering.
